Kay’s Upholstery was established in 1976 in Farnham by Kevin Balsdon, Kevin had previously worked as an apprentice at several nearby furniture and upholstery shops: W Coleman & Son (2 Years), Julian Harvey (1 Year) and Rangers Furniture Store (3 Years). It was in 1976 that Kevin left Rangers and started up his own business – Kays Upholstery. He then began working as a subcontractor for Julian Harvey traveling to several different countries including Brunei, where he worked at the Sultans of Brunei’s palaces. Kevin has also traveled around the world doing fabric walling for many embassies and celebrities.
Kevin has since moved his workshops to Fleet, Hampshire. Kevin has undertaken a large range of upholstery work in Farnham and the surrounding area, including, Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire. Many clients have been returning again and again, with some using Kevins service for over 30 years!. Kevin prides himself on perfection with the majority of his customers coming from recommendations, many of whom come from Vale Furnishings. Kevin also offers a full guarantee on all of his work.
