Kay’s Upholstery restores and reupholsters chairs, sofas, bespoke seating and interiors across Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire.
Our upholstery services include standard repairs to complete reupholstery work. We also undertake a large amount of leather work and are able to recover a wide range of items including:
We can also build a wide range of furniture from hardwood beech frames.
We have a large range of fabrics in stock with an extensive range of pattern books to order from. If we do not have a design you like in stock, you can also use your own fabric.
We specialise in fabric walling and have had many celebrity clients over the years.
Fabric walling is a system of baton, padding and fabric. The batons are fixed to the wall and around electrical fittings or heating appliances. The walls are then covered in polyester padding and a curtain interliner is applied. The fabric and braiding are then applied to give the finished product.
Fabric walling acts as a great insulator, traps heat very well and has excellent acoustic properties.

Kay’s Upholstery was established in 1976 in Farnham by Kevin Balsdon.
Kevin has worked internationally, including projects for embassies and high profile clients, specialising in upholstery and fabric walling installations.
Today the workshop is based in Fleet, Hampshire serving customers across Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire.
Kevin prides himself on craftsmanship and attention to detail, with most new work coming through word of mouth recommendations.
